Morpheus8 for face and body improves collagen and elastin production, melts fat, and resurfaces your skin to reveal a firmer, smoother, more sculpted you with lasting results. It uses radiofrequency (RF) heat energy and microneedling with 24K gold microneedles to target the superficial to deep layers of the skin and subdermal tissue.

How It Works

Over a series of treatments, microneedling and RF pair to provide exponential results. The 24K gold microneedles can be set to depths of 0.5 to 4 mm. At 0.5 to 2 mm depths, the needles penetrate the epidermis or skin layer only. At 3 and 4 mm depths, Morpheus8 is able to reach the deep dermal connective tissue and fat layers. The coated needles direct RF energy at customized levels from their tips only, heating at the specific area to contract tissue just past the microneedle depth. The microchannels created and RF contraction stimulate the body to repair the tissue, creating new collagen and elastin with firmer, smoother, resurfaced tissue. When used to treat hyperhidrosis or odor, sweat glands beneath the skin are targeted causing irreversible thermolysis of the gland’s structure.

Treatment regimes are always recommended for the best and exponential results. Plan for regimes of 3 treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart for best results. Depending on your goals and what area or condition we are treating, it may take more treatments to reach the best results. And, just like exercise, maintenance is important, especially since we age forward not backward! Plan to do a Morpheus8 maintenance treatment every 6 to 12 months to help maintain your results and keep your skin in great shape.

Pre-Treatment

For best results and to minimize the chance of bruising, avoid the following prior to treatment:

Consult with your doctor prior to stopping prescribed blood thinners or aspirin

Alcohol for 3 days

Smoking for 2 days prior and 2 weeks after treatment*Ibuprofen/Advil, Aspirin, multivitamins, fish oils, and vitamin D/E for 3 days

I always tell people Morpheus8 is pokey and hot! Hence why I provide the best methods for pain control available. I encourage you to take Tylenol 1 hour prior to your appointment. Upon arrival, the treatment area will be cleansed thoroughly and a concentrated topical numbing cream applied. Just prior to treatment, small injections of lidocaine just under the skin ensures your comfort. If needed, inhaled nitrous oxide (AKA laughing gas) can be used during the procedure, though not usually necessary. If you have a history of herpes simplex virus or cold sores, I will provide you with a dose of prophylactic antiviral medication to take right before and after treatment to avoid a flare up.

Post-Treatment

The goal of aftercare post Morpheus8 is to support the skin and body as well as possible to heal effectively and quickly. Customized treatments play an important part.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) harnesses the power of your own body’s natural growth factors, proteins, and exosomes to signal tissue specific repair when applied topically immediately after Morpheus8. PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm prior to treatment, and spinning the sample in a centrifuge to separate the whole blood into its various components. The PRP is taken from the sample and applied directly to the skin. Nature at its best!

Benev Exosome Regenerative Complex + is a powerful treatment combining concentrated exosomes extracted from human stem cells (5 billion!) with peptides, coenzymes, minerals, vitamins, and amino acids to repair and rejuvenate skin. It provides all of the ingredients the body needs for repair and can exponentially increase its production of elastin and collagen when applied immediately after Morpheus8.

PRP and Exosome Regenerative Complex + can even be combined for the most targeted and customized aftercare available.

Once at home, the skin will need TLC as it heals. Using pharmaceutical grade products to gently cleanse, nourish, and protect with SPF is imperative. My recommendations: AlumierMD's Recovery Balm, Vivier's V-STAT, or SkinCeuticals Photo Corrective Masque.

Bruising can happen during a Morpheus8 treatment. There are needles involved! If bruising is an issue, I provide Arnica tablets that can help to resolve bruising faster.

If being treated for active acne with Morpheus8, it can trigger a breakout immediately after treatment as it forces bacteria to the surface of the skin. Ensuring specifically targeted topicals are used will help to control and heal this.

When will you notice results? Compare it to a scratch on your skin; how long before you can no longer see where the scratch was? Give your body a chance to do its work!
