Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) harnesses the power of your own body’s natural growth factors, proteins, and exosomes to signal tissue specific repair. PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm prior to treatment, and spinning the sample in a centrifuge to separate the whole blood into its various components. The PRP is taken from the sample and utilized for your ultimate in customized treatment. Nature at its best!

Platelet Rich Plasma Can Be Used To:

Stimulate collagen production, hence improving tissue integrity and strength

Promote neurovascular function

Stimulate hair follicles for regrowth with healthier, thicker hair

Improve healing time

Work to remodel scarring

Combine with products such as hyaluronic acid dermal fillers or Exosome Regenerative Complex+

Pair with a variety of treatments

PRP Facial

This customized treatment starts by microneedling the skin with either a specialized microneedling pen, MesoGold 20, or Morpheus8. PRP, obtained prior to initiating the treatment, is then applied topically to the area and can be combined with other nourishing ingredients like hyaluronic acid or Exosome Regenerative Complex+. PRP’s power is harnessed to stimulate collagen production, improve scarring, and hasten healing time. Your own growth factors improve skin texture, tone, fine lines, and pore size. Full results take approximately 1 month to allow for the body to do its work.

PRP/PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) Facelift/Dermal Filler

Want to use a dermal filler that is made especially for you? PRP with PRF provides this option. Fibrin is a clotting protein in your blood. When a small amount of your fibrin is mixed with PRP, obtained via the same blood draw, the result is a gel much like other dermal fillers. I then use your very own filler to volumize desired treatment areas such as under the eyes for hollowness and dark circles, cheeks, lips, neck, or back of your hands. Yes, I use it even in outer labia/vulva areas! For the first few days, the area can have minor swelling, but as the PRP/PRF gets absorbed by the body, initial volume dissipates. Full results take approximately one month to allow for the body to do its work in collagen and connective tissue formation. Treatment protocols recommend 3 treatments, spaced one month apart, with maximal results in 3 to 6 months. A maintenance schedule with treatments every 3 to 12 months will help to ensure your results are as effective and lasting as possible.

Hair Restoration

Thinning hair is a very common problem for men and women alike. PRP can be used for patients that are in the beginning stages when some hair follicles are still partially active. After numbing, PRP is either injected with a fine needle or MesoGold 20 just below the scalp’s surface in areas that are beginning to thin. This targets hair follicles by upregulating the signal for growth and provides proteins and growth factors that support regeneration. Applying Exosome Regenerative Complex+ immediately after injection boosts PRP's benefits. Treatment protocols recommend 3 treatments, spaced one month apart. There is no downtime, and some people begin to notice a difference within a few weeks, though maximal results are usually in 3 to 6 months. A maintenance schedule with treatments every 3 to 12 months will help to ensure your results are as effective and lasting as possible.

Women’s Sexual Function

By injecting PRP into specific areas, it provides the ultimate in growth factors, proteins, and exosomes to heal conditions like lichen sclerosus and stimulate tissue and neurovascular rejuvenation for Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM).

Site specific treatments include:

Anterior vaginal wall to improve sensitivity at the ‘G-spot’ and aid in rebuilding tissue between vagina and urethra to treat urinary issues

Vaginal opening or introitus to tighten

Clitoral hood and clitoris to improve sensitivity

Vulva to provide volumization and support to treat deflated tissue

Just below the skin in areas with conditions like lichen sclerosus

Pre-Treatment

It's important to recognize that the quality of PRP is dependent on your health.  Ensuring you are eating a balanced diet, are well-hydrated, and not ill at the time of treatment provides the best natural product for your body.

Ensure to avoid:

Ibuprofen/Advil, Aspirin, multivitamins, fish oils, and vitamin D/E for 3 days

Consult with your doctor prior to stopping prescribed blood thinners or aspirin

Alcohol for 3 days

Smoking for 2 days prior and 2 weeks after treatment

Care is taken for your comfort by ensuring adequate numbing prior to treatment with using topical formulas or small amounts of injectable lidocaine depending on the area.

Post-Treatment

If using PRP after Morpheus8 or MesoGold 20, the skin will need TLC as it heals.  Using pharmaceutical grade products to gently cleanse, nourish, and protect with SPF is imperative.

My recommendations:  AlumierMD's Recovery Balm, Vivier's V-STAT, or SkinCeuticals Photo Corrective Masque.

When used as a dermal filler, ensure you are not putting pressure on any of the treatment areas for 24 hours.  Ice may be used if the area is tender or swollen.

After PRP for hair restoration, do not use hair products or wash your hair for 12 hours.

Using ice as needed after treatment for women's sexual function should be all you need to manage any discomfort.  To optimize results and expedite healing, I recommend using AnteAGE MD's Vaginal Rejuvenation System (VRS) after treatment.
